Our Community Outreach Team was created in 2011.  This was a vision born through looking at what other departments have done to reach out to the community.  We are faced with a unique layout and land area in our city.  Many communities lie within approximately 56sq. miles.  Chief Rook, Ofc. Bass and Cpl. Keeter, came together and the Community Outreach Team was born.  A team of officers is each responsible for an area of the city.  Each officer interacts with the citizens in his assigned area on a regular basis by conducting community meetings and educating citizens on problems unique to his area of the city.
