The Chattaoochee Hills Police Department conducts a Citizens Police Academy at least once a year.  The program enables interested citizens to attend hands on police style training.  The CPA meets once a week for eight weeks.  The topics discussed cover the spectrum of training officers receive while attending the Georgia Police Academy Basic Mandate Class.  CPA members gain an understanding of police work and the behind the scenes scenarios that the average citizens never see.
